Entry Form: A completed entry form must accompany each quilt/entry and be brought
to the registration site above.
Quilt Show Dates: Friday, July 11, 2008; 12:00 Noon to 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, July 12, 2008; 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Quilt Gala Location: Bridgeport High School Commons Area
Johnson Ave., Bridgeport, WV
Voting and Awards: Queens Choice; People's Choice; Best of Show; 1st; 2nd; 3rd place and Honorable Mention in each
category; also Best Hand Quilting; Best Machine Quilting.
Balloting: Will take place Friday and Saturday for People's Choice. Presentation will be made on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
THIS IS A JURIED, NQA JUDGED SHOW
Explanation of categories and terms not previously explained:
Individual - one person completed the entire quilt.
Two-party - two persons involved in the completion of quilt.
Group - three or more persons involved in the completion of the quilt.
Other Technique - any technique such as whole cloth, embroidery or other surface design, such as crazy quilt.
Miniature - 24" or less on any side; must be a reduced replica of accepted quilt block or style.
Pictorial - representation of a person, place or thing.
Home Decoration - any quilted item for home decor not intended to be a wall hanging.
Instructions and Rules:
All Quilts must remain on exhibit for the duration of the show.
The Quilt Judging Committee has the right to correct placement of quilts in a different category based on the size and technique
used.
Quilt racks are provided free of charge.
A 3-4" sleeve must be attached on the back of the quilt as noted on the front page of this entry form.
The Quilt Judging Committee reserves the right to determine the condition of the quilt prior to hanging and to reject a quilt for
display.
Each entrant must have a label pinned or sewn to the back of each item with:
Owner's name; Address; and Telephone Number
Quilt pickup is Saturday, July 12, 2008 - 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. No quilt/item will be released until all quilts have been inventoried. Entry receipts must be presented at the time of pickup.
