The theme for February is:  fabric with hearts.  Please bring two fat quarters - one for the 2008 Quilt Show basket and one for the drawing.  The theme for December was cold, snowy wintery prints, won by Judy Osbourne.

MONTHLY DOOR PRIZE
If it's your birthday month, you bring a door prize worth not less than $5.00 and no more than $10.00.  For example if you have a July birthday you bring a door prize to the July meeting. If we have three people bringing prizes we will have three drawings.  The door prizes may be purchased or you can go through your sewing room (or chocolate) stash and put together a "goodie bag" of whatever.  Please wrap them or put them in a bag. January Birthdays were:  Donna Eakle and Jackie Harper.  Door prize winners were:  Donna Eakle and Becky Smolski.

Remember to wear your name tag for the name tag drawing. If you forget your name tag you put a quarter in the bag, when it come around.  The winner can usually afford to buy at least a couple yards of fabric at the end of the year, when we have the name tag drawing.

BLOCK OF THE MONTH
We started the Block of the Month in February 2007. This project will run for twenty months. A twelve inch finished size block was decided on. In other words we will be making twelve and a half inch blocks each month, and we will each keep our own blocks to make into a quilt. Tana Hall and Patsy Glotfelty brought the next two patterns that were passed out.  If you have missed a block Patsy Glotfelty will have extra copies of the patterns.

We have reserved Lost Creek Community Center for April 19th, for our Spring Sew-in.  We will have the chance to work on our U.F.O.s, a Mystery Project, Boutique items or all of the above.  Mainly to have a really “quilty“ good time together.
